I was pleasantly surprised to find a Sweet Frog tucked away in State College after moving here recently. Sweet Frog is a great place. Your frozen yogurt dish can be as cheap or pricey as you make it. I usually spend three dollars or less for a hearty dish with plenty of toppings. The original tart is definitely my favorite flavor! The frozen yogurt here is creamy and sweeter than other chains' yogurt that I have tried. And believe me, I have tried many. Sweet Frog is the best and most fun. This location in particular is always very clean and welcoming. The toppings are varied and creative, too! Sweet Frog is all about options. You choose your cup size, your flavors, your toppings, and even your spoon color.

Sweet frog has the best tart yogurt ice cream I have every had in my life. I am not very fond of regular ice creams, but I am of yogurt ice cream. My husband takes me every Sunday for an ice cream. I wish he's every week in the mood to drive all the way up to sweet frog to buy me the tart one. I highly recommend it. Moreover, it is a very clean place.

Understand that this was my first froyo experience. I know it has been the big trend for several years. Usually, I avoid these types of "trendy" places like I avoid Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus music. It typically is too pop and colorful for my tastes. My wife, on the other hand, likes to think of the eye candy such a place may provide. She loves the appeal of plastic and colorful fast food and chain places. She also tends to really think of the kids when it comes to stuff like this. Will a place be ok with loud kids? Will a place have enough colors and things to do for the kids to behave long enough for us to get done and get out of there? Most importantly, can we get in and out quickly before a meltdown occurs. I, personally, will take the kids to a coffee shop full of college kids to try and expose them to culture and environment. Unfortunately, I sometimes lack perspective on such things, though, and end up leaving in shame after one of my kids does a kid thing like say something really embarrassing about boogers or farts or something. Sweet Frog meets all the requirements. Easy in and out. There is even a quick bar to sit, eat, and go. Here is how it works, which will be familiar to anyone that has done the FroYo thing. Get a tyrofoam cup, pick your frozen yogurt and dispense from a machine, top it off from the toppings bar, get it weighed for your final price and pay. They have a decent selection of flavors and styles and I can't imagine there being a larger variety at the toppings bar. That toppings bar is really clean and well maintained. In fact, the entire shop is really clean. So, if you want a quick dessert for yourself and the kids and yourself, Sweet Frog is a good option. It is convenient to your shopping needs and restaraunts.

I hate giving 2 stars. I really do. But, the yogurt tasted horrible. Everything else was great. Service, cleanliness, fun, selection, etc. However, I took a few bites of my chocolate yogurt and threw it away because it tasted so bad. I put a little bit of the coconut froyo on the bottom of my cup and that tasted bad as well. I'd like to give SF another try, though.

These peeps have possibly the best topping selection of any froyo joint I've been to. Prices are good, and the place is super clean. One thing sucks: They don't have free water. Last time we were there we also noticed a bunch of God T-Shirts for sale. Out of the four places we consider for ice cream in State College (Creamery, Meyer Dairy, Kiwi and Sweet Frog), Sweet Frog wins more often than not.

Ever wonder how if the combination of banana and peanut butter yogart combined with cookie dough, brownies, snickers, and twice would be good? Sweet Frog is the place to find out. Its clean, service is quick and the employees are friendly. Overall I really cant find anything not super positive to say. Enjoy a good alternative to the Creamery and Meiers (not necessarily healthier unless you are that 1 in 1000 that can resist all of the surgery goodies).

Awesome concept. Self service and you can mix and match! 12 different yogurts and dozens of toppers. I had peanut butter yogurt, coconut yogurt, Reese's pieces, mini non pariels, and mango bubbles. Yum!

Love the sorbet. Waffle cones great for the yogurt. So many yogurt varieties. Low fat. Sugar free. Something for everyone

Clean, bright, and awesome. The yogurt and multitude of topping was much better than expected. They had plenty of highchairs. The only down side might have been the "oldies" music. But hey, that's not a biggie.

Loving it! Stopped in for a 4th of July treat, and we are thrilled that we did! Not all of the yogurt here is nonfat, but the nutrition information is all printed on the yogurt descriptions so you know which is which. There is a nice variety of yogurt flavors, and what's cool is that the flavors are side by side- with twist in the middle. The toppings offerings are quite diverse, including fresh fruit, candies, brownies, and angel food cake. They have a wide variety of those little fruit flavored "bubbles", for those who enjoy them. I'm not a fan, but husband loves them. Best part? HOT FUDGE AND HOT CARAMEL. How can you go wrong? This place, with its brightly painted walls and loud music, invites comparison to Kiwi, so here's the rundown: a wider variety of toppings at Sweet Frog. The hot toppings definitely put them over the top. About equivalent yogurt selection, but Sweet Frog is not all nonfat. But with the nutrition information posted both on the wall and on the yogurt machine, you won't have any trouble keeping the portions under control! Bottom line: delicious and lots of fun.

They are less expensive than kiwi downtown. They have a lot of good and delicious toppings to choose. They sell cute adorable stuffed animal sweet frog. They give you little sample cups to test out the flavors.

The cake batter is better than cake batter ice cream.
